Justin Sun hopes he can travel more. But there’s too much to do.
“There’s too much exciting stuff happening every week in cryptography,” he said in a December interview with Coindesk, his home in Hong Kong. “I’m not really on vacation. It’s hard to get away for a week.”
If the Sun took a long vacation, it was probably for Mars, he said. But only for two-way travel.
“I think (that) the only thing that could change my mind with a code,” he said.

The founder of Tron says crypto trading is tough for the Red Planet, as it means a time when it is far behind from Earth. “I will not die on Mars.”
However, it’s not as bad as the 2013 Coinbase trade. These were early days before the inventive engines with thin orders and matching orders.
“In 2013, if you wanted to sell Bitcoin at Coinbase, they kept you waiting a week to see if it sold or not,” he said. “We need to set a price range and will inform you of the sale and final price later.”
“It was like being on Mars.”
All ciphers
You can see why the sun doesn’t have time to travel.
The founder of Tron is unforgiving. Since establishing blockchain in 2017, Sun has established itself as one of the most influential people in Asian crypto. His X account has 3.7 million followers. Tron has 125 million active users. Over $50 billion in USDT is traded on the network every day.
Around Sun are universes of affiliated and advised companies, such as HTX (Exchange), Bitgo (Custody), and Rainberry (formerly Bittorrent Inc.).
Still, when Coindesk set up an interview with Sun, it was about checking if Asian Defi’s face would talk about anything other than Crypto.
Certainly men have more than digital assets, right?
I gave up for 10 minutes.
In the case of the sun, everything in life touches cryptography, and cryptography touches everything in life.
Even art.
Avid collector, Sun owns the works of Picasso and Warhol. He recently bought and ate a $6.2 million banana, part of an artwork called “Codians.”
This turned out to be a metaphor for Bitcoin.
“The bananas tape to the wall aren’t about the physical artwork itself. It’s not a physical one, it’s a concept, an image,” he said.
“When I first learned about Bitcoin, I thought it was cool because everyone can pass customs without learning about carrying wealth. It’s free. Bananas have the same effect .”
As an exception, if someone eats it, like the sun was.
“This kind of conceptual art is new to regulation. It’s not about physical works, it’s about concepts,” he said. No matter what laws or rules you impose, it won’t stop someone from recording a banana on the wall. ”
Games are not escapism
Buck Isle, Sun has a soft spot in the Caribbean. Thanks to his obsession with Tropico, a simulation game that builds a world set in the Cold War tropics, it is the area he visits as a virtual dictator under the rules of the game. However, the sun prefers geopolitical neutrality.
“I run a neutral island and I delight both the US and the Soviet Union by giving each one an island for a military base,” he said. “Why, why? They pay me for it.”
Sun says he is a PC Maxi and not a console gamer. It’s not Xbox Live, it’s steam for him. Besides Tropico, he is a fan of the turn-based strategy game Civilization IV. He once played straight 24 hours a day.
“One more, another turn,” he continued. He feels the game is addicted to me as it reminds me of what he is doing in the real world.
Justin Sun is not universally worshiped in the crypto world. However, few people can look away.
“Justin Sun is like an episode of Game of Thrones,” the man himself says. “You need to keep watching no matter what you think of him.”
Recently, he gave birth to Bitcoiner through his investment in Bitgo. It supports Wrap Bitcoin (WBTC), a trading infrastructure that enables Bitcoin liquidity in Defi.
Almost immediately when it was announced, Sun’s harshest critics came out of woodworking with all sorts of crazy accusations.
With its own BTC product, Coinbase lists Sun’s version, citing “listing standards.” The Sun and Coinbase are currently continuing their discussion in court.
Bitgo CEO Mike Belshe calls Sun’s biggest critics “intellectual injustice.” They all had their own tokens to pump, he claimed.
Return to Game of Thrones.
In the first season of the show it appeared that the writers had set the character of Ned Stark as the lead.
“I thought, ‘This must be a mistake. I thought someone would come and say it was all a misunderstanding.” But no… he was really gone! “A way to remember Sun watching the show.
This surprise enthralled the viewers, making Game of Thrones one of the most acclaimed shows in the history of the network, beating the sopranos and glued the viewers all the way to the end.
You’ll need to wait until the final episode to truly understand and judge the Sun.
