Nvidia partners with leading OT providers to use AI to enhance critical infrastructure security and address cybersecurity threats in complex environments.
The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has paved a new pathway for innovation, but it also introduces new cybersecurity challenges. Critical infrastructure, including sectors such as energy, utilities, manufacturing, and more, becomes increasingly vulnerable to sophisticated cyber threats. With traditional cybersecurity measures proved to be insufficient, Nvidia is stepping up to address these challenges with its advanced cybersecurity AI platform.
Leading OT providers employ NVIDIA’s AI platform
At the recent S4 conference, a leading OT provider introduced the adoption of NVIDIA’s cybersecurity AI platform at the Industrial Control System (ICS) and Operations Technology (OT) Cybersecurity premier event. Companies such as Armis, Check Point, Crowdstrike, Deloitte and World Wide Technology (WWT) have integrated the platform to enhance real-time threat detection and protection capabilities for critical infrastructure.
The NVIDIA platform leverages accelerated computing power and AI to incorporate the NVIDIA Bluefield-3 Data Processing Unit (DPU), NVIDIA Doca, and Nvidia Morpheus AI Cybersecurity Framework. This combination allows for robust and adaptive security measures, ensuring operational continuity while tackling new threats.
Innovative solutions for complex environments
Convergence of IT and OT in critical infrastructure creates complex environments ripe for cyber vulnerabilities. Nvidia’s platform acts as a virtual security overlay to utilize Bluefield-3 DPUs to inspect network traffic and protect host integrity without disrupting operations. These DPUs stream telemetry data to Nvidia Morpheus as embedded sensors to comprehensively monitor host activity, network traffic, and application behavior.
For example, Armis integrates an AI-powered cyber exposure management platform with NVIDIA technology to protect sectors such as energy, manufacturing, healthcare and transportation. Armis CTO Nadir Izrael highlights the need for a robust solution that ensures both security and operational continuity.
CrowdStrike delivers greater security and provides AI-powered threat detection and response by deploying the Falcon Security Agent on a Bluefield-3 DPU. Raj Rajamani from Crowdstrike highlights the need for adaptive, real-time security in OT environments.
Drive digital transformation and resilience
Deloitte leverages NVIDIA’s cybersecurity AI platform to support our customers’ digital transformation efforts and provide visibility into data center networks to combat sophisticated threats. Dmitry Dudorov of Deloitte UK focuses on the importance of increasing resilience and protecting infrastructure as organizations embrace interconnected technology.
A joint approach to cybersecurity
Nvidia’s collaboration with Ecosystem Partners presents a scalable solution to protect critical infrastructure environments from evolving threats. By integrating NVIDIA AI and integrating computing with industry expertise, organizations can now protect their most important assets.
For further insights, stakeholders will be able to attend the NVIDIA GTC Global AI Conference from March 17th to 21st. There, cybersecurity leaders from Armis, Check Point and Crowdstrike discuss collaboration with NVIDIA. For more information, please see the NVIDIA blog.
